We met when I was 16. It was my first year at Crossmen and your age-out! We even had a moment at the beginning of the show together! Your smile, determination, & positive energy were infectious! I was honored to spin with such talent! But it was after this first year that I truly got to know you. Michelle Owens - you truly were one of the most genuine, caring, happy, positive people I have ever met! I am blessed that you were my mentor & friend! YOU helped shape me into the person I am!!! YOU influenced or provided me with so many incredible opportunities- finishing my drum corps career at Crossmen, teaching Crossmen, teaching Magic of Orlando, being taught by you at Field of View, going to Just Class to March under you again, popping in for visits to help at Lassiter, & even

performing in Japan!!! It was wonderful when you returned to FOV & stayed with me! I am forever grateful for our recent times together at FOV, at Contemporary Color, our brief talk at WGIs, Jim & Chris' wedding & our lunch the next day! The amount of lives you touched is incredible!!! I LOVE YOU!!! I wish we could dance together, chat, or even watch some Tenacious D together right now!!! Rod, Kim Owens, Jeff Sacktig, and all of Michelle's family & friends--- I am heart broken with you and for you! I wish there was something more I could do, but the only thing I can think of is to live our lives like Michelle did-- With grace, love, determination, positive energy, and a smile!!!! Truly live your life by being present! Treat your moments like it is your one and only opportunity! We LOVE you Michelle! I know you will be looking after all of us spreading you love, smile, & sunshine!!!
