I have had the unique pleasure of marching with, being taught by, and teaching with Michelle over some of the most memorable years of my life. The the one thing that I will cherish most will be her friendship.

Michelle taught me so many things that I have taken with me in my teaching profession and throughout the last 25 years of teaching band, drum corps, colorguard, and percussion. She taught me that is was possible to be tough and sensitive at the same time, be funny and serious all at once, and to be able to work with others and accept everyone's ideas no matter who they were or how much experience they had and in our activity that is not always easy to find. Michelle could find the best in everyone she met and the students she taught and I can only be so lucky to inspire my students the way she inspired others.

Although we did not see each other often when we did it was as if no time had passed. I will miss Michelle deeply but will remember her just as deeply. I love you Michelle
