There have been so many people who have been able to put into
words what I wish I could. Kyle and I have been thinking of, talking
about, sharing stories, and praying for you, Michelle, and your
families all weekend but I feel like anything I try to write just comes
up so short. My heart breaks for you and I can only hope that you can
feel all the love being sent by everyone and that it may just begin to
help in healing. To be able to touch so many people’s lives in such a
loving and genuine way is so special. There was and never will be
anyone like Michelle!! I wanted to share my favorite memory of
Michelle. Wish I had a better photo, but I think this still captures
the moment pretty well :) I shared this in the Smiles for Michelle
page awhile ago but definitely wanted to share it again!
On tour in 2008, Michelle got a pair of wheelies (wheels you can attach
to sneakers so you can roll around) after she saw kids wearing them.
She thought they looked like a lot of fun and wanted to try them out
herself. She didn’t care what people thought (you know we all loved it
though!), what was important to her was to do something that would make herself and everyone else smile! So, Brian led her around the parking lot of the Alamo Dome while she cautiously tested them out, the two of them laughing the whole time. Michelle saw something that looked like fun and made people smile, and she wanted to get in on it! Truly one of a kind :) I wonder, did she keep wearing them after tour? :)
