Crossmen 1999-2001

Michelle was on guard staff at Crossmen when I joined in 1999. While being in the hornline, she always made me feel special, always greeted me with a smile, and genuinely cared that I was there, a member of her corps. When I became Drum Major we became closer, I was honored to talk with her each day as she would tease me about various things, talk with me about rehearsals, and most of all teach me how to be a leader and care about me as a person.

We lost touch for a while after I left the staff and only recently we reconnected on Facebook, and it was like we were still at Crossmen. We communicated for a bit back and forth, once again her making me feel special, greeting me with an electronic smile, and genuinely caring that we had reconnected. And of course, I was honored to be around her again.

Michelle, you will be missed by many; those you were closest to, and those who were in your life for only a short time, who you touched so profoundly that we will never forget the amazing person you are and how you made

us better.
