I had the absolute honor of teaching with Michelle at Troopers in 2014. Many memories come to mind, and every single one is associated with amazing nostalgia. She had this amazing power to just make you feel loved.
My favorite memory with Michelle....
This past summer at Crossmen she came to watch finals rehearsal. I had received a text that she was going to be watching rehearsal and immediately felt giddy with excitement. How could you not?! I couldn't wait to see her and that legendary smile. I was on the back sideline with the flags when I heard someone yell, "Go Hannah, go!" I turned around, and there was our girl. After rehearsal we all piled around to hug her and chat with her. Michelle had a compliment and warm welcome for every single person that walked up to her. You could just feel that all of those kids marching could not wait to be in her presence again.
Thinking back on that moment now, I will cherish those words forever. She was cheering EVERYONE ELSE on in the midst of her battle. There is no greater love than that. What a legacy. What a woman.
Go Michelle, go. We all love you.
