Michelle was one of my favorite instructors for reasons undoubtedly true for many of her students. She had an

infectious energy and kindness - both one-on-one and when addressing a group, a wonderful talent for writing uniquely hip equipment work, and of course her beautifully radiant smile.

For me personally, there is one flag block that's stuck in my mind. Although there was nothing extraordinary about that particular day at FOV (1998 season), I remember we were we preparing to spin five and five when Michelle put on "Block Rockin Beats" by The Chemical Brothers. I'd not heard that track before that day. My mind's eye still sees Michelle jamming as she walked up and down the rows. I picked up the CD shortly after. I still think of her every time I hear that song. A special memory of her, while not necessarily doing anything terribly special.

Rest well, and thank you.
