It's taken all day to process and still doesn't seem real. My earliest memory of Michelle Owens is when I was marching Bluecoats and she was teaching Crossmen, even though our paths had crossed much earlier during my Patriots days. Both guards were hanging out in the dugout during warmups and a rain delay at finals at the citrus bowl. I just remember her laughter and her sweet spirit during such a stressful and chaotic time. So happy our paths crossed again upon us both moving to Georgia. I didn't think she would remember me, but I was wrong, and was met with a huge welcoming hug...of course! This world has lost a truly amazing woman who fought ovarian cancer harder than anyone could imagine! Her courage, along with Jeff Sacktig is so heartwarming and inspirational. They never gave up, opened their hearts and shared their battle with everyone. Thank you Michelle, for being you, and for making this world a better place. You already know you will be missed, but thankfully, everyone you have touched has such wonderful memories to keep you alive in our hearts. Rest In Peace sweet Michelle.
