I keep trying to find the right thing to say but as so many people have already said there are no words that could live up to the light Michelle had. The first time I really spent time Michelle was at Crossmen tryouts in 1997. After spending one weekend with her, I knew I had to try it because she had so much to teach me. As I went into my first summer away I had no idea what I had gotten myself into but I feel like Michelle was there with me every step of the way.
As the years went on Michelle was there for all the best and hardest times of the summers but I have so many small moments I will never forget. Michelle was someone who you never wanted to let down and a role model you hoped to be as amazing as she was someday. It makes me think of all those famous people who always thank a
teacher in their speeches and how color guard / drum corp people need to thank the instructors more. They helped shape us all into the people we are today. I wish I thanked Michelle more than

I did.
I was so thankful in the last year I reached out to Michelle again after hearing what she was going through and she hadn't changed. She was
thoughtful and caring even with everything she was going through. You could feel her smile in her messages and that is what I will remember most. Jeff, Kim, Rod & the rest of your families I will think of you all weekend, wishing I could be there but grateful she is at peace.
