There will, no doubt, be dozens, if not hundreds of messages for Michelle that point out her warmth, kindness, willingness to help others, ability to brighten your day, and of course that beautiful smile. But what has stuck with me since I first met and marched with Michelle at Field of View in 1994, was how EASILY all of those qualities came to her. She never had to work on being friendly, outgoing, energetic, and loving. That is just who she was… always… even when instructors were beating us down, or judges had us in a placement we disagreed with, or a snowstorm canceled our prelims performance, or I kept dropping that backhanded release quad right next to her. She just instinctively knew how to keep a situation positive and that energy permeated the entire organization and literally changed people's lives. I will never forget that about her. Ever.
I promise to always honor you, Michelle, by spreading your natural ability to brighten people's days, lighten the mood, and treat everyone with love.
