I returned to The Cadets as a volunteer in 2014 after a 5 year break to focus on my health (I had been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes).

I was in the entertainer bus after a Cadets performance and Michelle and Jeff entered the bus. Michelle recognized me immediately and screamed in delight "SKINNY" (I had lost 1/3 of my weight since she saw me last).

I honestly could not remember her.she was disappointed, but we

rekindled our friendship. Two months later, I was diagnosed with

diabetic retinopathy eye disease. This disease was keeping me from

recognizing faces and almost took away my vision all together.

When I told Michelle this, she was very supportive of me and

encouraged me with my treatments. I am so grateful that I have

regained my vision and was able to see Michelle one last time in KnightsTown last month.
